When I bought my Sony Vaio last year (oh and I don't recommend them
due to Sony turning off virtualisation by default and getting it on
means playing in the BIOS, guessing, and dismantling to remove and 
re-insert the battery if your BIOS guess was wrong, zomg!), I had
to avoid a lot of machines I would normally have bought: Acer, Assus,
etc because at the time they listed Optimus.
