I seem to remember Ubuntu having drivers for Nvidia.  Is this not correct?

Glad to hear your video signal issue is resolved, Robert.

As an FYI for the future, problems with nvidea are pretty much endemic.
That company doesn't open their technology, therefore open source
environments like Linux frequently have problems with their devices.
It's not at all Fedora specific, by the way.
