I have developed the html for the buttons. A test can be found here:

Note I have also changed the text a bit to reflect Michael's latest
comments: http://opendesignstudio.org/gimp/samples/

Note also that the links to not ink to real files, as I have set them to
the git repository values, which are replaced with the urls on the backend.
