Deleting the account does not delete the
.local/share/evolution/mail/imap /_my_account_
Why?
Question remains unanswered!
manually deleting the .local/share/evolution/mail/imap folder?
No, don't go around fiddling with folders that programs expect to remain
consistent.
I did delete the folder, no change!
The workaround I found was to download the
whole .local/share/evolution/mail/imap/_my_account_ from another
computer which had not crashed by the conversion from .evolution
to .local!!
After trying several times downloading from scratch form the mail
server, my conclusion is that there is a bug hidden somewhere in evo
communicating with the M$ Exchange IMAP server! Where to file the bug
report, bugzilla? Any hints on formulations?
Looks like I have to use gconf-editor. Any hints on what to change?
Obviously, it was not gconf settings causing the problems.
Finally using evo again, not the webmail :-)
