Sorry about the problem. :-( This is fixed in Orca 2.20.3, and I believe that's just about the only source code change that went into 2.20.3, so you should be safe just grabbing/installing Orca 2.20.3.

Version 2.20.2 from the Slackware dropline packages.  If it is a
matter of a simple correction to the python source file, I'd be glad
to apply the fix.  Not sure the impact of mixing and matching later
fixes just yet.  I figured if it could get it going solidly, then I
can do the upgrades and look for the latest enhancements.  Thanks for
the help so far.  Oh, I did an 'orca --version' for the hell of it and
got the same syntax errors.:)
