Not everyone have mouse wheel (I use trackpoint so I don't have any mouse wheel, I can emulate it but I prefer to have middle button) or touchscreen. Dragging doesn't work in all software - particulary editors (gedit, libreoffice/openoffice writer etc.). Left click/middle click for long documents doesn't work if it is near the bottom as you run into the same problems. Regards
