Is that a reference to
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=651569 ? The designers
weren't too enthusiastic about the proposed feature, so I don't expect
it to be committed. (I didn't close the bug WONTFIX, as the first patch
still makes sense ...)
