Do you have setup real folders for Trash and Junk, or they both are the
standard virtual folders, collecting marked-for-deletion and marked-as
-spam messages across all the account folders?

I use real folders for trash and junk for each of my accounts.
Just now I've deleted all the duplicate messages and expunged the folder
again and it worked! I'm now starting to think my problem was with the
messages being "unmarked" for deletion before i got to expunge and that
was why it didn't work, but now Ive deleted all the messages so i can no
longer test...

By the way, seeing you use Quick Resync on your account, it sometimes
fails too, but that is unrelated to your expunge issue.

Ok no worries, should this be disabled in most cases?
