Banshee's library is a database containing the metadata and location of
the music files, and Banshee's design is to interact with that database
through queries.
The file system concept you like is not one that is going to be embraced
very widely by banshee users or developers, and since the developers
develop for themselves they are unlikely to feel beholden to you to
create something they won't use, you simply can't act like a normal
paying consumer when dealing with an open source product, the developers
don't really gain anything from having a larger user base, so why would
they be concerned that a loud annoying user is moving to clementine or
guayadeque, in fact it is a bonus because they are less likely to
encounter you again.
Drop the stick and get out a sack of carrots, compliments on the things
you do like might be nice.
If you want this functionality you are going to have to program it as a
plugin yourself and submit the patch, or raise enough money as a bounty
to tempt a developer (who isn't already so annoyed by you they want
nothing to do with you) to write it for you.
I'd imagine that might be several hundreds of dollars...

You should ask yourself:
What are you trying to achieve?
Does insinuating the developers don't know what the hell they are doing
help you achieve that in any way?
