Hi,
I am aware that it can be configured to use dmix because I've written it
many times in this list and speechd lists.

But it doesn't change the fact that pulseaudio develeopers do not
recommend to use dmix.
Using dmix doesn't resolve the mentioned usb headset problem as well.
