Re: [orca-list] should orca announce aria landmarks by default?

Howdy,

this should really easily be possible with the sound_utils class i did for the progressbar beeps.
I try to finish this stuff those days. the volumebar needs to finished up and the code should be optimized/modularized.
but for now there is anyway the featurefreeze so it is not so urgent.

for now I m bussy with a bit OCRdesktop release :). I m realy lucky if this is out. i prepeares the way to many cool ideas I brew in my brain with it.
maybe someone would like to review the wiki. I m currently bring it up to date:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ocrdesktop
@B. Henry maybe you could bring the man page up to date? becaue nearby all shortcuts changes (because there is the menu bar now) and many things improved. it would be really cool. What do you think about?

cheers chrys

hi
I like this idea of sounds as well. While I'm on a sound frame of mind,
would it be possible to add the ability, configurable of course, to play
sounds for focus and browse mode either instead of or in addition to
speech? Nvda does this, and while I don't want or expect orca to be like
nvda, this is a feature I like when I use mellisa's windows box.
Thanks
