Hi Krishnakant,

Now when you say that shell 3.4 is pritty accessible, that gives me
another thing to look at.
Yes, it is. I've been using Gnome-Shell 3.4 for several months now and
it is reasonably accessible. With Unity 2D about to be dropped
Gnome-Shell is really the only option moving forward until
accessibility on Unity 3D improves.
1,Will I have to install gnome shell 3.4 on Ubuntu 12.04 or does it come
pre installed?
You need to install Gnome-Shell separately. Just open a terminal and do
"sudo apt-get install gnome-shell"
and it will grab all the dependencies etc you need. It is very easy to
install and setup.
2, can you please list the keyboard shortcuts for accessing the
applications list and - pane?
Sure. Visit
https://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/CheatSheet
where you can get a full list of desktop shortcut keys and keyboard commands.
Cheers!!
