It works perfectly for many users in 98 and 2000.

No, not possible, both respect the H.323 protocol, Equivalence has
tested his library a lot and the library is far more conform to H.323
than Netmeeting. Moreover, I know many users who have used GnomeMeeting
with Netmeeting since the beginning without any problem.

No, no way that I know, but it doesn't mean it is not possible.

All we can get are raw packets, not very useful. The only thing that
could be useful would be if Netmeeting was telling why it disconnects.

I'm a Linux programmer and have no clue about the Netmeeting SDK.
If you really want to communicate with him and think that the problem is
related to Netmeeting and not to his configuration, you can always try
OpenPhone : http://www.openh323.org/code.html#windows

in CVS, 0.95 is not released yet. We have binary packages for Redhat 8
and Debian SID. Mail me privately if you want the URL (we can't publish
it on the mailing list for bandwidth reasons).
