I see potential problems in the log :

Try to use Netmeeting 3.01 at least. I think NM 2.00 will never work,
I'm not even sure it fully respects H.323

Not a good codec in terms of bandwidth, your friend should install
MS-GSM for Netmeeting (see gnomemeeting.org for details).

That could be the source of the problems. The audio device can be opened
for recording, but not for playing what he sends you, in consequence,
the logical channel will be closed or will not be opened and Netmeeting
will clear the connection. You didn't mention me that detail in your
previous mails, but a popup should appear ;)

In clear words, either your soundcard is not full-duplex, or your driver
is not ALSA... Switch to ALSA, and I think it should work.

Funny the log indicates that Netmeeting sent a "Clearing" message and
dropped the connection just after.
