That's not a fair thing to say. This isn't a _generic_ "one little switch".
It's a specific switch to not prompt on close of files which have been
exported. Clearly, many workflows will do better with the xcf-centric
approach.

A more sophisticated option might be: do not prompt on close when an image
is exported to the same file it was imported from.

This is very narrow, and it in fact the future planned work *should* take it
into account.
