I assume you mean
local/Inbox./mbox.dat
local/Inbox./mbox./mbox.dat

ie, all files have ".dat" appended to their name and all directories
have "." appended. I suppose this works, but it's just a different
tradeoff: now the hierarchy looks the same, but the directories
themselves have different names than their corresponding folders in
evolution.

  + Inbox
