I think this example you bring up here, is a shining point of why we
need beagle (or tracker, or anything else) in the desktop. The fact that
it is hard to navigate your files without bookmarks to the folders that
contain them, is a pretty big usability problem, especially considering
that everything we care about, is a file.

Perhaps we should also look at how people use the places menu, and why
they find it so necessary to have. Personally, I never use the places
menu, as it doesn't fit how I use my computer. I am not sure that any
of the larger market of users would either. It seems like a hacker
feature to me.
