hi all,
well i think slab/gnome-main-menu does need a lot of work.
When i checked it out of the cvs a couple of months back, i noticed a
few things.
- docpath to search for docs is bad, this in an extension on
the .desktop file.
Which the fd.o standard says it should be X-GNOME-Docpath.Read up about
it here:
http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/ar01s08.html
Back then i wrote a patch for it. Since you still do not have a bugzilla
entry i kept it around:
http://ichigo.soulfly.nl/slab-patches/X-GNOME-DocPath-usage.diff
- the default gnome preferences menu is settings.menu not
preferences.menu, if it stays this way not everything will show up.
also wrote a patch for it :
http://ichigo.soulfly.nl/slab-patches/fix-default-path-control-center.diff
- also for some reason it showed a package manager which seems to be
integrated with the desktop file and/or rpm. Wrote a patch so if the
gconf key was empty it wouldn't show.
http://ichigo.soulfly.nl/slab-patches/do_not_show_packagemanager_extensieon_if_gconf_is_empty.diff
I was not very happy with the status it was in back then and it doesn't
really seems to have improved.
So I'd rather see you make a release, get an entry on the bug tracker
and try to comply to the gnome standard way instead of the suse way.
