I'm not advocating that we throw our responsibility on the user.
We should have a sane standard environment that works and is usable.
But if people want to change the look let them.  One can probably
write something to do it after all it's merely saved session.  

Allowing people to experiment with whats usable might prove interesting.
Isn't that what Apple does when coming up with a user interface?  
It doesn't have to be an official GNOME utility .
