Just to be clear, we will look at libgaim once it's there and than take
the descission whether to use it or not.

This descission will be based on various things:

* Time we have
* How much we care and want to put effort into this. After all we 
  started Gossip mainly for ourselfs.
* How good the libgaim API will be
* What has happened to GAIM in the meantime.
