Re: GNOME.Asia Summit and COSCUP joint meeting proposal

Thanks for everyone's feedback. First of all, the proposal is written by COSCUP team, not by us.  I summarize some points and answer below:

     * Do you have an estimation how much funds would it need to cover
       the GNOME.Asia Summit (GAS) specific costs?
We have already send out email to COSCUP team, to ask them to give a budget estimation to us.

     * How do you expect to raise funds to cover the GAS specific
       costs?
We will found a team, responsible to call for the sponsors. Another proposal will be written based on this COSCUP proposal. Currently, Pockey, Fred, Emily is in this team. We also want to invite Stormy and Brian to join this team.

     * Do you expect to bring to Taiwan those 4 potential speakers?
Those 4 speakers are expected by COSCUP team. I think for GNOME speaker, we should follow the policy of GNOME travel committee. COSCUP will bring their speakers and we bring GNOME speakers based on the interests and budget.
    * There were common sponsors for GNOME.Asia 2009 and COSCUP 2009.
That's a good point. We should make it clear at the beginning. My opinion is : Who got the sponsorship earlier, the fund is from which side. Since the cost will be shared. For some special situation, we can discuss.
    * GNOME Mobile
This is proposed by COSCUP team, I agree with Brian and German that this is really depending on the sponsors and speakers, as well as based on the local community's interested. It can be changed to any other topic based on the real situation.
    * Separate the account
That's a good point. It is our first time to do a co-host meeting. I think separated account is necessary. This need further discussion with all members and with COSCUP team.

Thanks for the feedback,
Emily

We both agree in the same points then :-)
