I would like to add to the general summary:
YOU ARE NEVER going to convince
the gnome project to turn on it's heal
and add loads of configuration options.
If you want to discuss gnome discussion it with this reality in mind.
No matter how many good points you put in your
e-mail they will be negatively overshadowed by any references
to the gnome policy on preferneces.
