Re: [orca-list] any full time mate users?

hi
If you hear no beep when debian boots, I'd wait only a few seconds, you
don't want to wait too long or the system might boot into the live
environment, but press s after a few seconds, then enter. You may have
to do a bit of trial and error, but it's not hard. You probably don't
have a pc speaker, so it doesn't beep. That really should get fixed to
use the normal speakers on the laptop, but I don't know if that's possible.
Thanks

No, you just press s when you've booted debian. It will land you on a
speech menu item. Press enter, and you'll start the installation with
speech.

So How will I know when to press s?
Should I hold the s key down for some time and then press enter?
I guess mostly the beep thing does not work on my Thinkpad t440.
Happy hacking.
