So then dconf will not pull in any specific desktop dependency? In that
case, since gsettings is needed to make qt5 speak, then it makes sense
to store Orca's preferences there, as long as the front end GUI can
always be guaranteed to work no matter what desktop environment or
window manager is used, and so long as the window can always be brought
up with a keyboard shortcut, which seems like it can still be done, as
most settings applications that are accessible from the control centers
can also be launched via a menu or dash.
