[orca-list] Grub-beta issue/sorry for not changing subjuect__was: Re: conversion of ubuntu 14.04 iso image file to zip

Very sorry for forgetting to change this subject. If athis conversations continues I strongly suggest 
starting a new 
thread with an appropriate subject.
See below for my post regarding grub-beta being used as default package for major Linux distros.

Arch-LInux also has had betas as default for some time now. I'm going to google for reasons for these 
decissions, grub 
release policy, etc. I'm using syslinux for now on my arch-disk so am not sure if I'd have issues with 
grub2.

But can't you boot from a gmrl cd, which you can certainly make talk using
speakup and then you can mount your root and fix whatever is broke?

My friend, we have concensus.  I am tremendously disappointed in them 
for having done this and wishing very badly that I had left my system

13.10 which was working very very well.  All I did was a standard 
do-release-upgrade followed a week or so later by an apt-get dist-upgrade.
