Re: [orca-list] Braille WAS Re: A question for a traceback error message prewenting related

I'm not a big fan of Freedom Scientific. they have a practice of
gouging people for years and they tend to be rather anti competitive.
They sue their competitors at any chance.

Hm, I thought I heard C Hofsteder tweeting that Freedom Scientific
had really lowered prices recently (and that they'd been overpriced
to begin with).

Maybe check out if there are new prices today?

I do programming on both mainframes and my personal linux systems at

productivity would improve but I have to evaluate the payback. I
started out using an Optacon with a CRT lense to read the screen.
then speech came along and performance improved significantly.

I think a big drop in braille dissplay prices could really prove to be
a boom for blind programmers and proof readers.
