Hello all,

I am using Ubuntu 10.10 with Orca from git 2.91.3 pre. Most of the time I 
need OOo. So I would like to downgrade to 2.30.2 and continue with OOo or 
LibreOffice.
I am an end user. Can anybody help me to tell me how to downgrade please?
I 'll download the tar.gz file and do the following in a terminal:
tar zxvf <filename>
cd orca-2.30.2
./configure
make
sudo make install

Do I have to remove the existing orca folder and the ./orca folder?

To start orca I cd to the orca-2.30.2 folder and then type "orca".

Is this right to do because I don't want to break anything and left without 
speech.

I  am using  ubuntu-10.10
few weak ago I had the same problem,
but I noted one thing, that is when we upgrade orca-2.31.2 or later 
version,
now I am downgrade orca to 2.30.2. and changed my office package to 
libreoffice.
now I have no problem with office package, but I have missing some new
features   of orca.
I believe that this is the problem of orca not open office.
