Re: [orca-list] Copy, Cut and Paste feedback Orca feature request

I understand what you mean as I probably wouldn't use such a feature, or at least I don't have enough desire for such a feature to spend time on getting it implemented. However I will say if people want it and if it were to be added then I feel it should be implemented to give most reliable results (otherwise the list will get lots of messages from people saying "orca said copied to clipboard but when I try and paste nothing is getting pasted", let's make it right from the beginning and its best for everyone).

I would see such a feature as optional, may be if possible it could be a script, I don't know whether this is something suited to scripting.

Now Will's suggestion of a way of monitoring the clipboard directly (or
checking the clipboard) would be the best way as this doesn't depend at
all on the key presses. I haven't got a clue whether this would be
possible or not (either directly with at-spi (although Will doesn't
think there is a way) or through another application).
I am not sure this can be implemented without adding more complexity to
orca (only for verbosity reasons).
The feature shouldn't consume much cpu power.
I dont need it.
