Hi All:
Two quick things:
1) Jon is right -- there is no single maintainer for the WIKI. It is by
nature generally a community effort: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki.
Like PBS the US, it's content is made possible through generous
contributions from viewers like you. :-)
2) We have a somewhat out-of-date architecture document written in
DocBook. It lives in the docs/doc-set/architecture.sgml file that is
sucked in by the orca.sgml file in the same directory. It should be
easily pulled out into its own separate book. See also the README in
the same directory for more info on using DocBook.
I'd prefer that the DocBook version of the architecture document be the
place to update things because I believe their is more structure in
place in GNOME for translating DocBook stuff versus WIKIs. Jason, I
haven't read/processed all that you wrote yet, but I'd definitely be
willing to take/review architecture.sgml updates from you if you're
willing. :-)

I dont think anyone maintains the wiki as such, people add things as
they see the info they have might be useful to others.
I'll put up your description if you dont mind, and if you have updates
send them my way and ill try to keep it in sync.
The more detailed the better :)
Thanks for the pygtk link, that looks like a very useful tutorial to
learn from.

Your description sounds plausible, and if it was confirmed by one of the
developers that would be really great.
I know there are a few inaccuracies.
Also, it seems that the Bonobo main loop (entered via pyatspi) actually
dispatches GTK events as well as AT-SPI events, which would explain where GTK
is run.
Maybe we should start a section on the wiki for those who are intrested
in learning about the Orca source, an introduction to developers
section, where anything that might be useful to a new developer is put.
That way they wouldnt have to search through the mail archives for
golden nuggets.
This is a good idea. If somebody else could volunteer to maintain the wiki,
I'll volunteer to post more descriptions to this list, which can then be
reviewed and any follow-ups or questions taken into account before it goes
onto the wiki.
Others are also welcome to write overviews of Orca components.
