Please feel free to crunch the numbers, because I've got not idea, what
you are talking of.
Also a computer takes < 10 seconds to power off, how is that a lot of time ?
And of course it is not reasonable at all to suspend when back in a bit means tomorrow.
That is a waste of energy and money.
Everybody i know that tried gnome-shell wanted to power off their
computer and not suspend it. Everybody kows the distinction, you have
the same suspend and power off functionality on a Television for
example.
You really need to add this power off button, users do know the difference. They are not morrons
