The tarball release of gwp was a bit of a surprise.  This problem will
be fixed, you just caught most of the developers on a weekend.

Do not worry about not being able to send patches.  Bug reports are
welcome.  In the specific case of the packaing of the gwp
dependencies, you just hit a rough point in the distribution (and both
gnome-print and gwp are still development projects).
