Hello All: This is what I get form the command line: jserink jserinki7 ~ $ evolution --gtk-debug=FLAGS & [1] 28137 (evolution:28137): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to register client: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files java version "1.7.0_101" OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.6) (Gentoo icedtea-7.2.6.6) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.95-b01, mixed mode) No more messages after that no matter what I do. If I try using this switch "--gdk-debug=FLAGS GDK debugging flags to set", it does this "Error parsing option --gdk-debug". On my first pass, what I tried was enabling egl in clutter and mesa and any dependencies that needed it. No effect however.....i'm starting to suspect the xfce window manager.xfce itself should not be a problem - the issue will be the interaction between installed components.
