Re: [Evolution] evolution 3.10 not sending messages from one of my mail acounts

The powers that control Ubuntu apparently do not care much about evolution.  Right now, only way to keep evolution reasonably current is to use developmental versions of Ubuntu.  I am using 15.10 beta and that allows me to run evolution 3.16.5.  Over the past few months, I have been using 15.10 without too many problems.  I started with my "research" PCs before moving it into daily use on my laptop.

	Hi,
just a quick follow-up, the SMTP provider for 3.19.1+/3.18.1+ will try
to reconnect when the AUTH command fails due to a connection being lost
(the underlying stream doesn't claim connection lost, but the end of
stream instead, which is the reason why it didn't return any real error
and the runtime warnings were printed on the console).

You can ask your distribution maintainer of the evolution-data-server
to backport this commit:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=3fc24c8

It might be a smooth backport, I think.
	Bye,
	Milan

Thank you very much Milan for your effort.

For me the problem is solved in evolution 3.10 since I could write smtp password
quiclky enough before the close of connection by server. Now I have the smtp password in seahorse
and know what to do in order to send mail with ono account through evolution.

I will ask in ubuntu forums to introduce the patch in evolution data server in a backport repository.

Thanks again and regards
