Yes, this is the problem.
I have the same problem with address stored in my own address list, but here can be solved modifiying the "File Under" option.

No, it's not an LDAP problem since LDAP stores "cn" with full name (ex: "Iñigo Martinez Lasala", not "Lasala, Iñigo").

Yes. There is no problem with Thunderbird.
Somebody has posted here the bug number about this. In Korean language there is a similar problem with this.
