To take that one step further, when I used another mail client from
Redmond (that is, when some VBScript kiddie wasn't raiding my
addressbook) I can type in just the nickname of the recipient, and then
there will be either a red or green underline under the nickname. Green
means the client found it in my address book, and red means it either
was not found, or comes back with multiple results.
For example, if you had me in your addressbook, then just typing
"mitchy" should give enough information to the client to find and insert
my address. This was an awesome feature, and I still miss it something
awful.
Of course, I'm typing this from memory, as I left the wintel world with
NT Service Pack 4, so things may have changed...
