Yup. And hence it's a moving target, difficult problem, etc, etc (although, not so dissimilar from the issues around IM clients). Which all adds up to a good reason to keep it out of the Drivel core, but to allow it as an addon library for those users who are aware that it may well break 5 minutes down the line, without (hopefully) them blaming Drivel itself.

The point I wanted to make was that I would like it if Drivel moved further towards a plugin system for supporting different blogging systems, especially given that the current internals of Drivel make it pretty difficult (read: have to make *lots* of small changes everywhere) to add a new blogging system, and I think changing that would be a good thing. IMHO, this should be something to be discussed once we get Drivel development moving again.
