Re: Joliet extensions and files with no filename extension

Well, it turns out that on RHEL7, the mkisofs is a symbolic-link to the
/etc/alternatives stuff and it is really pointing to genisoimage.
So the real mkisofs is not there at all.
For my specific purposes, the genisoimage seems to work correctly (or at
least as I expect it to).

It is always easy to compile the original cdrtools by yourself.

Just fetch the sources from:

        http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdrtools/files/

or get the latest schilytools snapshot from:

        http://sourceforge.net/projects/schilytools/files/

Note that Redhat does not give you recent software. They instead distribute
software from 2004 and ignore all the bugs they have in their bug database.
