you have a mailbox tree at the left with all the configured mailboxes.
if you choose to view mailbox tabs you will have  a visual representation
of the currently open mailboxes and a quick way to access them.
keep in mind if you open all the mailboxes in your mailbox tree
you'll have them all open! that means used memory, imap locks and the lot

this is a pain yeah, we countless entries on bugzilla for gtkhtml crashes.
unfortunatly it's kind of Hard to contain gtkhtml crashes without making the
whole thing blow dead bears
