You could maybe do what we do with our 'favourite applications' at the
top of the JDS Launch menu though, i.e. list a few select capplets,
followed by a (hopefully clear) pointer to the whole set:

+-----------------------+
(Or replace '...' by '>' if you want to put everything on a submenu
instead of in a window.)
