[Usability] System Monitor applet

The System Monitor applet, as I'm sure you all know, reports CPU,
memory, network, and disk usage in the panel.  When you put your mouse
over the indicators, it even tells you how much is being used.

Assessing CPU and memory usage in percentages seems straightforward.
I think it would be better to report network and disk usage in KiB/s
or MiB/s, though.
