I was going to as well. But my iriver doesn't support the usb mass
storage driver. I have to use the specialized protocol (which isn't
hard to decipher apparently) There is already a library that will
do this. I had planned on using the library and creating my own
gnome-vfs implementation.
Perhaps, we can talk offline of creating something uniform?
Apparently, not all irivers are created equal. :-)
