Re: [orca-list] How to navigate GitLab with orca / firefox

Hi Peter,

thanks for explaining. Unfortunately, I am not completely sure what you
mean by saying „inside the complementary landmark“, exactly. Is that
where you can jump by pressing the m key twice?

You have definitely put me on the right track though. Here is what
happens when I open a project page and click on settings. When I jump to
„project navigation“ by pressing the m key, I can go through the
top-level navigation elements like „project information“, „repository“,
..., „settings“. The second level items like „general“, „webhooks“ etc.
do not appear yet, there is an element „toggle sidebar“ though. I can
get to this element using the arrow keys, however it is skipped when
using the tab key. Having navigated to „toggle sidebar“ using the arrow
keys, nothing happens when pressing enter or the space key but clicking
on it does indeed add the second level navigation elements like
„general“, „webhooks“ etc. Is that the expected behaviour?

Best,

Elias

working with a local GitLab instance at our company, I have seriousdifficulties getting access to all
relevant information. For instance, when clicking on „Settings“ on a project page, I arrive at
„Generalsettings“ but cannot find a way to switch to the „CI/CD settings“.

When you open a project page you can find the settings in the list of
items inside the complementary landmark.

When you click on settings, two things happen:

 *

General settings is opened in the content area and you can find it
under the heading at level 2.

 *

More items are added to the navigation list in the complementary
landmark. So after settings you will find links such as General,
Integrations, Webhooks, Repository, CI/CD, Monitor and so on.

Greetings

Peter
