Well, what I did was stop speaking "window" when it could be detected
that something else was about to be spoken. For instance, when you
Alt+Tab, we can skip saying "window" because we're about to speak the
first item in the switcher. It was never my intent for there to be
crickets. I consider that a regression which I will see about fixing.

improve
the terrible situation gnome-shell is currently in in terms of a11y.
