Re: [orca-list] Reading PDF files with Orca

Yes aciah-linux is open source. The distribution base is linux-mint 20.3 witch is  open source , but it does tolerate the use of proprietary drivers and PPAs (Personally Packaged Archives) compared to other distros like Debian.

Hello,

Is aciah-linux open source? I ask because I didn't find any access to the
sources of the archive on the website.

Cheers,

The aciah-linux system includes a system for reading pdf, jpg, png files in two
ways:
- either read with Orca and get the text to use it, for example in copy and paste,
- or read the text on the fly.

Halim Sahin staggered into view and mumbled:
Until today I found no working solution for filling pdf forms in LInux.

I seem to recall seeing this in either Brave or Firefox about a week ago. One
of them did show me text entry boxes with information filled in, and I was
able to find out what was supposed to be in the field. It was a bit clunky,
but it was doable.
