I use the mate desktop and love it! Very similar in a lot of ways to the way gnome 2 used to be. Still have a lot of hope for Linux accessibility. If there’s anyway I can help test, please let me know. I would be happy to.JAWS Certified, 2021, https://www.freedomscientific.com/Training/CertificationOn Apr 6, 2022, at 9:53 AM, Devin Prater via orca-list <orca-list gnome org> wrote:One of the biggest problems right now are desktop environments. Gnome has slipped far since Gnome2 and the days where there was hope for Linux accessibility. I'm glad the installer is getting some love. But IMHO, it's what happens *after* installation that needs the most help._______________________________________________On Wed, Apr 6, 2022 at 8:42 AM Monica Ayhens-Madon via orca-list <orca-list gnome org> wrote:Hello all!_______________________________________________My name is Monica Ayhens-Madon and I'm the Ubuntu Community Representative at Canonical. I also work with an internal group working on increasing the accessibility of the desktop and our website in a variety of ways, including for screenreaders. We have a post here with a specific call for screenreader testers for the web page and the new Flutter installer: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/accessibility-testers-needed-web-site-and-flutter-installer/26485We also want to build up screenreader testing in the wider Ubuntu community, and to make sure that testing improves things both downstream and upstream. If you'd be interested in talking to me or anyone in the accessibility group on how we can make an easy to follow process that is easy for potential testers to find, we would be happy to have your suggestions, concerns, and other feedback.Cheers!Monica
