Switching to the tabbed user interface (available in the View menu of
the default interface) helped somewhat. There is now a style selection
control which behaves slightly better with Orca, but not well.
LibreOffice needs a lot of accessibility work.
Fortunately, I belong to the "write your documents in a text editor"
(using, for example, LaTeX or Markdown) category. Nevertheless, for
those of us who need to deal with word processor formats professionally
at times - as I expect to continue to do - having a working and
accessible office suite matters.
