Hi Joanie.


I tried the following test:


1. Enable in orca echo by character and echo by word.

2. Press alt+f2 and type gedit

3. after type gedit I typed the space bar.


While I was typing orca went silent, but after pressing the spacebar, 
orca announced the word that was typed, gedit.
