Hi,
Just to mention:
about 8 months ago I had the same problem that appears all of a sudden,
using Ubuntu 18.04 and Orca master. Because I let Orca speaks every
character I type I can hear if it is a capital letter. After a month
this problem disappears also all of a sudden. I do not know what causes
it or what solves it. Since then all works as expected.

Do you do caps lock shortcuts each time the issue occur?

Do you do a shortcut with the caps lock key as caps lock + t when the
issue occur?
No.
Can you try to produce a debug log with the issue on the terminal ?
Since I don't have a way to reproduce the problem, I think the debug
file will be very large. If I restart orca when the problem appears,
the problem disappears.
Best regards,
Alex.
