Never mind on this one.
Just updated all packages including Chromium and Orca to latest.
Try as I might, I can't crash the browser as described below.
I'll see if I can reproduce the other reported situation this weekend.

Hi, Joanie:
OK, finally getting back to you re Chromium and Orca crashing on
amazon.com. Try this page:
https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-FANISY-Convert-Cellphone-More-Black/dp/B072QDJND6
Use whatever navigation, the skip link, plus another h, plus some
tabbing and eventually down arrows to get to the product description.
I focus on the line that reads:
Weduda Micro USB to USB C
Use left and right arrow, and also Ctrl=left-arrow and Ctrl+right-arrow
to examine that content. I was unfamiliar with the brand Weduda, and I
needed to ascertain the adaptor was adapting in the direction I needed,
i.e. a male Micro USB to female USB C.
Anyway, twice now I've completely crashed Chromium right at that point.
It takes a little back and forth, but it brings down the browser. Orca
is still loaded.
This does not happen with Firefox.
Admittedly, my installation is a tad dated ...
Orca-git compiled a couple weeks ago (on 30 November to be precise).
Chromium Version : 80.0.3982.0.r720320-1
Firefox Version : 70.0.1-3
This is on an Arch installation updated about the same time, 30
November. I'll be bringing things up to date after my final W3C telecon
later today.
PS: Still loving Chromium with Orca!

Hi Janina.
Since I don't have a Peapod.com account, but do have an Amazon account, it
would be helpful to have steps to reproduce the problem using Amazon.
Related aside: Chrome spawns quite a few threads. So I don't think that's
the source of the problem. I expect something else is going on. But in order
to debug it, I need to be able to reproduce it.
Thanks!

Hi, Joanie:
I will get you a set of steps that use Amazon. Meanwhile, I ran into the
same issue on Peapod.com ordering groceries just now.
I wasn't tracking how many chrome instances until things went squirrly
as indicated below:
1.) Log onto peapod.com. Start putting things in your cart. Note, I
had about a dozen items today, an under $80 order.
2.) Search for a couple items not on your "past purchases" list.
Things may have started to go wrong here, but I don't think so.
3.) Select the book a delivery time option and try to book a time.
This is definitely where things went squirrly and unresponsive.
I never finished the order with Chromium. Instead, I logged in with
Firefox, where I noted that my time slot was not selected, though I
believed I'd done that with Chrome. So, I selected a slot and checkout
out.
Total Chrome instances = 24
Total Firefox instances = 1
hth
I will follow up with Amazon as soon as I get a minute to do that.

Hey Janina.
Thanks for the report! Could you please give me more specific steps to
reproduce this problem, such as a page to view, keys to press, etc.?

Hi, Joanie:
I may have found a flaw whilst using Amazon shopping the past few days.
Amazon uses a "More Details" label for some kind of pop up help that
drives Orca plus Chromium batty.
* Speech becomes very unresponsive
* That makes all the sense in the world, because when I go to a
* root console and do:
ps -t tty1 |grep -i chrome |wc -l
I get like 15 or 17 instances. I do not see this problem using
Firefox.
Let me know how to provide better info if interested. I should
note that the Orca plus Chromium I'm using are as of last
Saturday 23 November. I have not updated since, but am about to
do so.
Best,
Janina
