Hi Storm, I'm planning to do this for a very long time, but... I'm reading much, much more than I'm writing, so... The people/sites, wich I follow, should also have GNU Social accounts, which they don't. Or could I follow twitter feeds in GNU Social? Sorry, if you've already covered this - I've probably missed it/don't remember. -- Best wishes, Zahari Storm Dragon wrote: Wed, Sep 14, 2016 at 06:49:08AM -0400
Howdy, Instead of using Twitter, why not create a GNU Social account. Its webface is 100% accessible, no need for mobile versions or anything, and you aren't limited by that stupid 140 character limit. There are several instances you can choose from, or if you have a server, you can install your own version. Instances are federated, meaning no matter which one you choose, anyone from any other instance can still follow you and see what you post. It's nearly like giving a twitter name too, you just have to tack on the domain like an email address. For example, I am @storm social stormdragon tk. A couple options you could try are https://2mb.social/main/register https://loadaverage.org/main/register HTH Storm On Wed, Sep 14, 2016 at 01:04:37PM +0530, Krishnakant wrote:Dear all, I had used twitter more than few months back and I did not quite find it accessible. I wish to know which GUI client I can right away use for tweeting and reading replies to my tweets and also some additional stuff? Secondly, is there accessible version of m.twitter.com or some similar mobile addition? I am campaigning for exclusive use of free software in the government run schools for the blind and also rural schools in India. The media has tarted to cover my campaign and I now would need twitter for publicity. So kindly share your experience with twitter. happy hacking.
